PROJECT INFO

This client relocated to Kansas City and wanted a fresh start. She wanted to do something different and go more modern, and being that the unit was downtown it was a perfect opportunity. We worked around existing paint and flooring since it was a rental, but decided on all new furnishings.

I seamlessly tied in the wall color with accessories and art making it look intentional. Clean modern lines in the furniture and pops of acrylic in the accent chairs and dining stools give it the downtown edge.

On the opposite white wall I decided to create a gallery feel with matching frames and pops of color by incorporating some of my client's favorite images of her home town. The oversized floor mirror grounds the space while reflecting the great natural light.

In the dining area I took a simplistic approach by having a custom table made out of walnut. The client wanted a overall casual feel, so we decided on counter height with adjustable stools. The main showstopper in this place was the balcony with amazing views. The total look achieved was modern and blended perfectly into the skyline.
